Welcome To The Yeast Infection Cure Blog

Cure Yeast Infections

Hi everybody!

Well, after seeing so much “disinformation” on the Internet regarding yeast infections and a viable yeast infection cure the various causes, I decided to start a blog to discuss this sensitive subject. I was amazed to find so many “articles” and stories that seem to be cut and pasted from some article from some source somewhere online that had a ghost writer or maybe even written by men!

Can you imagine that? Well other than my husband who sometimes posts articles for me on some of his marketing accounts on my behalf, this blog and all of its content is going to be written by women and those who know first hand about yeast infections.

So let’s get started. If you are lucky enough not to know, let me take this occasion to let you know what a yeast infection is. By the way, I like pictures and videos but I am not here to gross anybody out. So if all of my pictures and videos are “happy” pictures, that’s because I like writing from a positive point of view. That and because it’s my blog! Just kidding, sort of.

So you want to know the definition of a yeast infections?

According to the New England Journal of Medicine, a yeast infection is actually a living fungus named Candida. The Candida fungus causes an infection known as vaginitis and that problem is called Candida albicans. Unfortunately for us as women, yeast is found to be present on healthy skin and in (ahem…) areas of moisture.

Again, unfortunately, we as women have an area on our body that has a bit of recurring moisture and as such it makes us quite susceptible to yeast infections.

The NEJM estimates that having a yeast infection is nothing to be embarrassed about as 20%-50% of us carry yeast in our vaginas. Subsequently, many of us develop these pesky infections on a recurring basis.

So that’s what it is. This blog is going to be an open forum discussing the causes, symptoms and natural treatments for yeast infections. In fact, rumor has it, we’ll even have some special guests stopping by from time to time discussing a natural cure for yeast infections.

Well, thanks for stopping by and hope to see you back. Feel free to leave your comments and questions as I really would like to have an open dialogue with women around the world!

Let’s work together to find a viable yeast infection cure.

Talk to you soon.

Curing Yeast Infections With An Ebook..C’mon!

can't cure yeast infection with an ebookCuring Yeast Infections With An Ebook

Do me a favor. Can you please tell me how to stop a panic attack with an e-book? How about telling me how to cure little boy from the Mumps with an e-book? Yet everywhere I look someone is touting an e-book as a yeast natural cure.

Now before I get comments and emails from the get rich quick Internet guru crowd, let’s be a bit real here. You actually have to take action here and I don’t think someone should have to pay money for you to tell them how to cure yeast infections naturally.

Just tell us, we’ll buy the supplements and items to see if they might work. But don’t BS me with an ebook as a cure.
We’ve all tried the o-t-c creams and ointments and the reason this blog is here and the reason our readers are here is because we’re tired of the BS.

I don’t want to know from some book how to treat symptoms, I want to know and share with my readers actual products that work for women.

We’ve heard all of the reasons why you can contract a yeast infection..bad anti-biotic reaction, abnormally wet and and moist vaginal area, too much sugar and processed foods, having sex with someone who has a yeast infection..blah..blah..blah… tell me what I need to know, not what I already do.

That’s what I want to promote. A yeast natural cure that works. And that’s exactly what we are going to do. We are going to scour the globe and speak with everyone from nutritionists to gynecologists to bring you the best NATURAL supplements and probiotics that are on the market. Then we’re going to test them and get testimonials and read the research and recommend them to you.

I can guarantee you that we won’t be pitching any ebooks. If we do they will be free ebooks to help you design your diet, or where to find the products we recommend. We will only be endorsing products that actually work and help women who have or are prone to yeast infections.

If you read anything on this site and have any question please make sure to leave a comment and I’ll answer the comment or one of our readers will Let’s work together to bring some transparency to this issue.

I keep reading how yeast infections are embarrassing. Not to me, what’s embarrassing is there not being an open forum where we can talk freely about yeast infections and a forum for discussion about developing and uncovering a yeast natural cure that actually works.

A Yeast Natural Cure….Modifying Your Diet

Curing Yest Infections With DietA Yeast Natural Cure….Modifying Your Diet

I know, here I am talking about modifying your diet as a yeast natural cure and right here on my site I’m talking about cinnamon buns. But seriously, a healthy diet is vital in preventing and controlling yeast infections.

Our bodies have obvious nutritional requirements that are needed to keep us in good health. We just need to strive to keep a good balance in place to keep ourselves in optimal health.

You and I and every one of my other readers have our own unique personality, health history, health challenges, and biochemical make up, we also have our own unique dietary needs.

The objective of creating a dietary plan to help naturally cure yeast infectionsis to promulgate detoxification with the implementation of a good dietary structure.

What is an ideal diet that will help to naturally cure yeast infections? One that reduces carbs, and hard to digest foods. We also want to take care to eliminate allergens and toxins that can wreak havoc on our immune systems.

Here are some dietary considerations that you may want to take under advisement when planning a digest to aid in the cure of yeast infections:

  • Take control of your diet by preparing most of your food yourself
  • Eat nutrient-rich, organic (not processed) whole foods.
Optimize your intake of essential-fatty-acid rich food sources through the use of healing fats and oils.
  • Eat a wide variety of foods
  • Drink plenty of water. Drink half your body weight in ounces (for example if you weigh 120 lbs, you should drink at least 60 ounces of water).
  • Drug use, alcohol consumption and smoking lower your immunity – so avoid them (I’m not saying you have to be a teetotaler but moderate!)
  • Exercise regularly (it’s amazing how this can help with a whole host of ailments)
  • Try to get at least 8 hours of sleep
  • Meditate to help rid yourself of emotional and physical stress (try some yoga!)
  • Avoid antibiotics like the plague if at all possible. These culprits can promote yeast infections
  • Avoid birth control pills if you can as they promote the overgrowth of candida which causes yeast infections

So it’s simple. a yeast natural cure can be facilitated through the implementation of a healthy diet and behavioral changes in your lifestyle.

What Can I Do To Avoid Yeast Infections

how to avoid a yeast infectionA Yeast infection Cure Won’t Work If You Don’t Take Precautions

A yeast infection cure is sort of like a flu shot. It works but if you don’t want to get another one you have to make sure that you take the proper precautions.

If you don’t want to catch a cold or the flu we all know the things we can do to limit our exposure to germs. you know ..wash your hands, cover your mouth when you cough…but do we as women do the same in regards to yeast infections? Probably not.

If you are prone to yeast infections but don’t have a current outbreak there are certain steps you can take to avoid getting another one. Here are some of the precautions that you can take:

a. Try to stay away from synthetic made clothing..stay natural as much as possible

b. If you can avoid it, don’t wear pantyhose or leotards on a daily basis or at all if you can help it

c. Wear loose fitting underwear (he might like the thong but would he rather have a happy and yeast-free wife, girlfiend..etc.. or an itchy fungus filled miserable partner?

d. Don’t stay in wet clothes for an extended period of time

e. Although they may look good, tight jeans are a problem, don’t wear really tight jeans

f. Ummm…let’s say this in as politically correct a manner as possible. easy on the perfumes and sprays in the vaginal region

g. Don’t use tampons or pads that have deodorant on them

h. Make sure when going to the bathroom…that you always wipe from front to back. Make that area a one way path at all times

If you make it a point to adhere to these rules it will significantly lessen your chances for obtaining a yeast infection.

Remember, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of yeast infection cure…or something like that.

A Yeast Cure That Might Sound A Wee Bit Gross

Yogurt and Tampons Yeast CureAnother Yeast Cure

Warning…we’re going to get a bit “icky” for some, but hey anything is better than enduring an itchy yeast infection…isn’t it?

When I say icky…I mean the guys looking over your shoulders might want to go play Madden football right now. I mean it could cause the weak at heart to turn a bit queasy. But I’m told it works so here goes.

1.Buy Some Yogurt. Nothing special here. Just some plain yogurt. Flavor really doesn’t matter in this instance. It’s not like any one is going to be eating this. When you buy the yogurt, please make sure it is nonfat with no fruit, sugar or any flavoring at all added. Do make sure that the yogurt has active cultures.

2.Buy A Box Of Tampons. this step is pretty easy.

3. Apply Tampon. Here’s where it may get a bit weird. Yep…dip the tampon into the yogurt you bought and place the tampon as you normally would and leave in place for about two hours. Don’t worry, like I said, it’s a bit messy and icky but no one is eating this yogurt stick. The good bacteria in the active cultures will provide almost instant relief and get the right type of bacteria in place to fight the bacteria that is being produced by the yeast infection.

4. Rinse and Repeat. Well actually repeat this twice a day for three days and voila…yeast cure revealed

Believe it or not, before I write anything here I try it myself and as gross as this sounds…it actually worked!

When i first heard that one of my friends had done this I could not stop laughing. That is until I got my next yeast infection and called her back.

I really am opposed to prescriptions and drugs and this worked for me. So I’m sharing it with you.

So what say you to this type of yeast cure?

A Yeast Cure In Your Kitchen

Yeast cure In The Kitchen

Did You Know You May Have A Yeast Cure Right In Your Kitchen?

Well you just might! It has been noted by many doctors that garlic and apple cider vinegar have healing powers and have been classified as “anti-microbial” foods. But are there other items you have hidden in your pantry which are also helpful in fighting bacteria?

The quick answer is …yes! Recent studies have determined that there are a number of everyday “super foods” found in your home right under your nose that contain ingredients that can help treat everything from yeast infections to burns.

So as we are talking about a yeast cure, let’s not worry about burns and such and talk about a household item which may aid in the treatment of yeast infections. Well an item most of us have available to us and is relatively inexpensive is cinnamon.

Cinnamon has strong anti-biotic and anti-viral ability. However did you know it is known to be a very good anti-fungal agent? Cinnamon has been proven to kill yeast that doesn’t respond to normal prescription medicines.

So that’s why I love those hot sweet cinnamon buns. All the this time I thought I just had a sweet tooth. Now the next time someone asks how I can eat such a sweet food and if I’m worried about gaining weight, I’ll just tell them I’m applying a yeast cure.

That will probably shut them up don’t you think?

A Yeast Infection Cure Won’t Work If You Don’t Have A Yeast Infection

yeast Infection CureA Yeast Infection Cure Won’t Work If You Don’t Have A Yeast Infection..huh??

Do you know if you really have a yeast infection? You would think a woman would know wouldn’t you? I mean no one knows our bodies better than we do.

Yet, Dr. Charles C. Chante says that more and more women are self-diagnosing ailments and one of those most often self-diagnosed wrongly is yeast infections.

This “mis-diagnosis” was the topic of discussion at the recent International Society for the study of Vulvovaginal Disease meeting. (..don’t worry..I didn’t know there was such a thing either)

Attendees of the meeting said that many women mistakenly believe they have a vaginal yeast infection and then make matters worse and compound problems by treating what they think is an active yeast infection the wrong way.

Of the 153 women’s cases that they analyzed who complained of having a yeast infection only 26% actually had one.

So what was it that the other 74% had? The women in the study reported having all of the normal yeast infections symptoms including lots of itching and vaginal discharge.

The meeting attendees concluded that just because you have terrible itching and discharge you shouldn’t rush to conclusions…or for that matter seek relief on your own

Did you notice I said this study was done by a man? He says that the symptoms could be a result of a woman having dry skin, or a sexually transmitted disease. He went on to suggest that it could be dermatological in nature. Okay so should I also go see my dentist for a hemorroid? give me a break!

Nearly 75% of us will experience a yeast infection in our lifetime and over 50% of us will have more than one. I think for the most part that we know what a yeast infections is.

Here’s the rub and where they want to drive the “only doctors know” point home.

“With the many over-the-counter (OTC) antifungals and physicians’ willingness to treat symptoms over the phone, it may be time to consider limiting this practice when yeast infection is considered.”

It’s all about the money and I’m beginning to see an alarming trend here. a yeast infection cure may never be developed, sort of like how we’ll never see a lightbulb that won’t burn out or a tire that won’t wear down.

We, as women, are in a consumable market place. If 75% of us will develop a yeast infection why would anyone want to develop a cure for yeast infections? Do the math…the numbers are staggering.

Let me ask you a question. Have you ever “mis-diagnosed” a yeast infection that you have had? Do you think by now that there should be a yeast infection cure? (I know that was 2 questions..sorry..)

Tell me what you think and if you have found your own yeast infection cure.

Home Remedies For Yeast Infections

Home Remedies For Yeast InfectionsHome Remedies For Yeast Infections…Do They Work?
If you are like most women you know there is a never ending number of websites touting everything from ointments to prayer as home remedies for yeast infections.

Yeast infections, a form of vaginitis, can be treated with home remedies without costly or harmful prescription drugs or even the over the counter type medications.

A few of the more common home remedies for yeast infections include vinegar douches, tea tree oil cream, and vaginal suppositories made with garlic or boric acid.

Believe it or not, many women have said that they do indeed work for them and that these remedies have been successful. As you may imagine, some physicians have been somewhat skeptical of the results.

They call for further investigation utilizing random, controlled testing to determine the effects, effectiveness and safety of the home remedies before they would be willing to support and endorse any of these home remedies.

I’m not surprised, how do you ask someone who is paid to treat yeast infections to support a yeast infection cure…a natural yeast infection cure, that will directly impact their income.

That’s a losing proposition isn’t it? This blog is designed to hear from women and their experiences with a yeast natural cure and remedy.

Can we really expect doctors to lead the charge for natural cures to common ailments? I don’t think so.

What say you? Have you found any effective home remedies for yeast infections that you would be willing to share? I’d love to hear from you.

Now That You Have A Yeast Infection, What Caused It?

Hey Everybody!

This is a new blog and as such I am going through the initial stages of building a foundation. So what does that mean? It means I have to cover the basics. While many of us may know all too well what causes yeast infections, many women don’t know. So let’s fill them in.

Question:What causes vaginal yeast infections? Yeast infections are commonly caused when new yeast (bad yeast  ) is introduced into the vaginal area. An infection can also occur when you already have some yeast and also a high incidence of normally occurring bacteria.

Answer:

I bet you didn’t know that if you have recently had a respiratory infection or a urinary tract infection and have recently been prescribed antibiotics, you actually become MORE susceptible to a yeast infection as the antibiotics can cause yeast to multiply and invade our vaginal tissues and cause a great deal of uncomfortable irritation in the area.

Seeing the bigger picture here? It is thought by many medical professionals that your chances of getting a yeast infection can actually INCREASE if you are on doctor prescribed antibiotics. Yikes..imagine that!

To make matters even worse…yes it gets worse…yeast infections can also occur after incurring from a recent injury to the inner vagina, maybe even after chemotherapy treatment.

Also, some women with weakened or suppressed immunity often develop yeast infections more frequently than women with stable immune systems. Of course as you might expect, women who have diabetes, are pregant or are using oral contraceptives become more susceptible to getting a yeast infections.

Once you get a yeast infection don’t bother trying to “cover things up” as it has been shown that the use of douches or perfumy sprays may also increase your risk of developing a yeast infection.
Now despite all of this doom and gloom there actually is a bit of good news. A yeast infection is not considered to be a sexually transmitted disease.

The flip side of that is your yeast infection is possibly contagious, as a yeast infection can be transferred via a real painful skin irritation after having sex. (Sounds like an STD to me..doesn’t it?..8-O Whatever)

So with all of this going on and how these things can be recurring and given to your partner in some form, isn’t important that we explore all options to stop yeast infections from occurring?

As we can’t count on antibiotics or over the counter ointments, isn’t it time we seek out a credible natural cure for yeast infections? That’s what were all about.

Let me know what you think!
