Warning…we’re going to get a bit “icky” for some, but hey anything is better than enduring an itchy yeast infection…isn’t it?

When I say icky…I mean the guys looking over your shoulders might want to go play Madden football right now. I mean it could cause the weak at heart to turn a bit queasy. But I’m told it works so here goes.

1.Buy Some Yogurt. Nothing special here. Just some plain yogurt. Flavor really doesn’t matter in this instance. It’s not like any one is going to be eating this. When you buy the yogurt, please make sure it is nonfat with no fruit, sugar or any flavoring at all added. Do make sure that the yogurt has active cultures.

2.Buy A Box Of Tampons. this step is pretty easy.

3. Apply Tampon. Here’s where it may get a bit weird. Yep…dip the tampon into the yogurt you bought and place the tampon as you normally would and leave in place for about two hours. Don’t worry, like I said, it’s a bit messy and icky but no one is eating this yogurt stick. The good bacteria in the active cultures will provide almost instant relief and get the right type of bacteria in place to fight the bacteria that is being produced by the yeast infection.

4. Rinse and Repeat. Well actually repeat this twice a day for three days and voila…yeast cure revealed

Believe it or not, before I write anything here I try it myself and as gross as this sounds…it actually worked!

When i first heard that one of my friends had done this I could not stop laughing. That is until I got my next yeast infection and called her back.

I really am opposed to prescriptions and drugs and this worked for me. So I’m sharing it with you.

So what say you to this type of yeast cure?

Did You Know You May Have A Yeast Cure Right In Your Kitchen?

Well you just might! It has been noted by many doctors that garlic and apple cider vinegar have healing powers and have been classified as “anti-microbial” foods. But are there other items you have hidden in your pantry which are also helpful in fighting bacteria?

The quick answer is …yes! Recent studies have determined that there are a number of everyday “super foods” found in your home right under your nose that contain ingredients that can help treat everything from yeast infections to burns.

So as we are talking about a yeast cure, let’s not worry about burns and such and talk about a household item which may aid in the treatment of yeast infections. Well an item most of us have available to us and is relatively inexpensive is cinnamon.

Cinnamon has strong anti-biotic and anti-viral ability. However did you know it is known to be a very good anti-fungal agent? Cinnamon has been proven to kill yeast that doesn’t respond to normal prescription medicines.

So that’s why I love those hot sweet cinnamon buns. All the this time I thought I just had a sweet tooth. Now the next time someone asks how I can eat such a sweet food and if I’m worried about gaining weight, I’ll just tell them I’m applying a yeast cure.

That will probably shut them up don’t you think?

Hey Everybody!

This is a new blog and as such I am going through the initial stages of building a foundation. So what does that mean? It means I have to cover the basics. While many of us may know all too well what causes yeast infections, many women don’t know. So let’s fill them in.

Question:What causes vaginal yeast infections? Yeast infections are commonly caused when new yeast (bad yeast ) is introduced into the vaginal area. An infection can also occur when you already have some yeast and also a high incidence of normally occurring bacteria.

Answer:

I bet you didn’t know that if you have recently had a respiratory infection or a urinary tract infection and have recently been prescribed antibiotics, you actually become MORE susceptible to a yeast infection as the antibiotics can cause yeast to multiply and invade our vaginal tissues and cause a great deal of uncomfortable irritation in the area.

Seeing the bigger picture here? It is thought by many medical professionals that your chances of getting a yeast infection can actually INCREASE if you are on doctor prescribed antibiotics. Yikes..imagine that!

To make matters even worse…yes it gets worse…yeast infections can also occur after incurring from a recent injury to the inner vagina, maybe even after chemotherapy treatment.

Also, some women with weakened or suppressed immunity often develop yeast infections more frequently than women with stable immune systems. Of course as you might expect, women who have diabetes, are pregant or are using oral contraceptives become more susceptible to getting a yeast infections.

Once you get a yeast infection don’t bother trying to “cover things up” as it has been shown that the use of douches or perfumy sprays may also increase your risk of developing a yeast infection.
Now despite all of this doom and gloom there actually is a bit of good news. A yeast infection is not considered to be a sexually transmitted disease.

The flip side of that is your yeast infection is possibly contagious, as a yeast infection can be transferred via a real painful skin irritation after having sex. (Sounds like an STD to me..doesn’t it?..8-O Whatever)

So with all of this going on and how these things can be recurring and given to your partner in some form, isn’t important that we explore all options to stop yeast infections from occurring?

As we can’t count on antibiotics or over the counter ointments, isn’t it time we seek out a credible natural cure for yeast infections? That’s what were all about.

Let me know what you think!
